15 Jan marks as a historical day for TSKA as the first grading was conducted under its banner.
We also had our first senior training on the same day. Shihan George taught us Sanseru kata. Sanseru is a pretty short and simple kata, but it requires you to be adept at executing Gedan Sokuto-geri (lower side kick). That is one complicated kick to do in the first place. Most of the senior karate-kas who'd just acquired their brown belts had had a hard time executing the kick. The ended up doing some foreign looking kick; akin to a mule kick. Ah well, practice makes perfect. Especially in perfecting your kata.
As for the pictures, I only managed to capture the grading. I can't exactly take pictures during the training, can I? :P
